Hey guys, I'm new to UserSpice, and was wondering if there is a best practices post anywhere?

For instance, database setup - should UserSpice be in it's own database, or a part of your project database?

Also, should the UserSpice files be in the same root as the project, or can it be setup as a separate folder/website? (Not sure if I'm being clear on that)

I'm really looking forward to experimenting with UserSpice. Looks like a great interface!

Thanks,
I am from Serbia and I translated lang file into Serbian language. I tested yesterday and everything works fine, except that some words have not been translated, but they have remained in the original English language. For example, it was not translated:
"DAT_INFO" => "Showing _START_to _END_ of _TOTAL_ entries",
"DAT_NEXT" => "Next",

Hi...
I just re-installed us from scratch.
I wanted to start with the recaptcha part, after successful installation.
I changed my admin password.
That is all I did, so far.

When going to settings->general and look at the Invisible Recaptcha section, I am presented with two fields:
Invisible Recaptcha Public (Site) Key (with an yey icon to show the same), and
Invisible Recaptcha Private (Secret) Key...
When I hover over the eye icon on the Public Key, it shows my password.

Is this normal?

I will try and put the correct key and see if it changes, but I found it weird and I thought of notifying the forum about it.

After I updated both keys, taken from the admin section of /www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/site...

I got a message saying "ERROR for site owner: invalid site key"

Thanks for any hint.

Best,

Hi all!

First of all I am not a native English speaker so you might encounter some mistakes here and there.

I apologise in advance.

I don't even know if this is the right place to post my request for some help. My apologies if it's the wrong forum.

I managed to install US with ease. No major problems.

What I am looking for is, besides managing users (I can easily do that with the admin panels), to be able to have some basic tasks that, becoause of my very basic knowledge of PHP, I haven't been able to figure out properly.

When a user goes to a "protected" page I need the user to be presented with a login page if not logged in already, or continue reading the page if logged in.

After login, I need the user to get back to where it was stopped because the user had to login and continue.

Besides that, I would like to have user name on the top right side of each page he visits after login with the option to edit his profile and log out if desired.

Does any of you guys have some spare time to waste to provide me some detailed guidance for this?

I tried adding the suggested piece of code on top of the pages I wish to protect:

?>

require_once '../users/init.php';
require_once $abs_us_root.$us_url_root.'users/includes/template/prep.php';
if(isset($user) && $user->isLoggedIn()){
}

?>

What happens id that if I login as Admin I get the dashboard (which is fine) but if I login as User, I am redirected to the main page, while I would like the following:

If login ok, then continue visiting the page, if not redirected to another page of my choice.

I thank everybody in advance for any help you may provide.

Best and congrats for the great scripts provided to all.

Hi!
I'm new to userspice, and was wondering where to find a stable version 4. I see version 2 and 3 download, but only see a beta of version 4 and patches of version 4. My question is what do I download to get started.

Thanks,
