This is the place to say "hi", but I really need to say "Thank you".
I'm not an IT worker. I live on the opposite of it, in the Law Street. Still, I like to play around with PHP and, with minimum knowledge, find my way out in managing small solutions for my small needs.
And, as it would expected to be, came that time when I would need or make use of one or other of my small solutions with other people.
It's true: I was unshamedly potsponing that certain future when it would be nice to deal with users and passwords. I read a little about it, and I guess I could figure out something that might work. Yet, I did some googling yesterday and got know UserSpice. That video "Why I'm passionate about UserSpice" made much sense to me, so I tried to install it in my local webserver, today, by the morning.
Yes, I was expecting to everything go wrong and that would be OK!, because that's my league.
But that went flawless, and for a guy like me, that was just magic. I had no trouble figuring out the logic of the framework (please notice that I'm that kind guy for whom Notepad++ is the closest I could get to a framework) and, although I'm probably using something like 5{3bc1fe685386cc4c3ab89a3f76566d8931e181ad17f08aed9ad73b30bf28114d} of US possibilities, it just works. I could manage to create and assign user settings and permissions in almost no time.
So: thank you very, very much!
Best regards from Brazil.
