That would work too. In my implementation there was no reason to keep them around as they're simply used to notify the employee of new events that they'd find if they went to the page themselves. Reminders to place an order, schedule changes, etc. Since other UserSpice users would have different needs we can definitely build in more functionality.
I'm pushing lots of new features to our employee portal tonight and tomorrow but hopefully I can add some of these features early next week if you don't before then. I'll also download the newest alpha version and test things out.
