I have attempted to update from a 4.3.14 install to a 4.3.16 using the file on the Updates page.

I was surprised to see init.php had lost the database and timezone stuff, but easily fixed.

When I invoke users/update.php though, I get a huge string of warnings such as:

These continue until the maximum script processing time is exceeded... I suspect this is something in my install, but any ideas?

I've had a few users report issues with the upgrade...this could be related to what your server can handle. Can you run SELECT * FROM updates and dump that for me please at pastebin?

Init.php was included in the patch (by mistake, but it makes sure everyone has the right init Wink )

I think I am having a similar issue... i hit the update link that kicks off update.php, then nothing displays until a redirect happens after a 40 second (ish) timeout. I have checked the error logs, all show nothing, but I did notice I am hammered the ram and cpu to max, my provider it would seem has maxed my RAM at 1G. i may have to investigate more... I feel like Im missing a log file somewhere - cpanel or maybe a linux system log. fun stuff !

So, i guess i will see if some of these updates where actually performed in the DB, and I would think that upto line 292 in update.php got executed so I can work backwards from there. but ultimately whatever happened, i ended up with a monster log file and my host throttled the server haha...

sorry if any of this isnt helpful, I just thougt I would share just in case.

looks like all the table entries made, just that last one failed... I see how the updates and logs table work now, made for quick double check what was applied.

just a thought, if an update is going to make my webhost crap its pants with maxed out memory and 100{3bc1fe685386cc4c3ab89a3f76566d8931e181ad17f08aed9ad73b30bf28114d}cpu, to then timeout... could it be segmented maybe? click update, response, garbage collection, click next update...respomse, garbage collection, etc... I guess I am assuming that all the array data is to blame for heavy ram usage... hmm, i could be wrong though. At the moment im just glad i didnt have to blow the DB away and start with this version 4.3.16's fresh new db smell.
