Hi everybody,

I'm trying to customise the index page and when I change the logo.png image related to the nagivation page, nothing happens (of course, cache cleared and page reloaded). Any hint ?

Hello all.

My name is Theo and registered here after playing arround a bit with US4.

My philosophy of creating programs or websites is never reinventing the wheel when others have it allready roling.
And share the knowledge of one thing to improve the workings of an other.

That's why I stumbled on US4 in my quest to find a working user management framework to create specialised web application arround.
Most of the existing frameworks are very bulky or missing out on user management functionality.
This is not the case with US4. It is slim tough packs enough functionality to create a user based web application arround it.

Altough I still have to figure out how to use it's full potention, I think this may be the best starting point for the application I have to build.
Not sure if this means I will use it as-is or that I have to port it, but I like the way the framework is doing his job on user management.
It reminds me on the way I builded applications in DBase (back in the 80's and early 90's) ported to the world of web applications.

From this perspective I have some ideas for the US5 roadmap (will share them there later) but for now I will start reading around on this forum
and will try to help out where I can, when I can.

I am having troubles installing UserSpice - I am following the video and somehow still managed to have problems with the installation.

First I had problems with the init.php file :


 
 I sorted it out when I edited the code in the file from:


TO:


But then this happened :



I checked a couple of times whether the database is set properly and if I got the detail corectly. Can someone tell me what could the problem be?

Unable to get google login or facebook login working.

Google login: During the signup/login process, the google webpage shows up stating: Sign in with Google.  After a valid username/pass is entered, it redirect back to the login page.


Facebook: Anyone know what the values under "Facebook Graph Version - Formatted as v2.2" and "Redirect After Facebook Login" should be?  I receive the following error when logging in: "[font=Times New Roman]Graph returned an error: Can't Load URL: The domain of this URL isn't included in the app's domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and subdomains of your app to the App Domains field in your app settings."  I already added the domain into the app domains field. [/font]

I had nice time with php really learned a lot working with userspice and userspice docs, if i had no userspice it would be probably much harder for me to get these fundamentals of php which I have now.



I have basically finished my project BUT I cant merge it with wordpress the way I want. all I am trying to do is to
- create wordpress pages
- open these pages and put there php file that would include init,header,nav and some of my other files but basically these are most important so i have access to:
           - userspice database
           - default userspice variables
             (all from WP)




I tried:
- installing userspice IN wordpress folder, that didnt work i couldnt access userspice php files from wordpress pages.

- installing wordpress IN Userspice folder - also didnt work, i even set all wp pages to public but still cant access userspice php code from wp pages



- messing with that file but i cant add full paths there, only folders inside userspice folder. I added wordpress folder there (which was inside userspice hoping it will work) but it didnt go


What I am missing? I assume its because of your extra security - its nice to be secure, but I dont know what can I do about it.
