  Starting Position
Posted by: abumottalib - 12-22-2018, 09:37 AM - Forum: UserSpice 4.3 and Below - No Replies

With this lesson, I want to discuss the starting position of the server, his job responsibilities and what he needs to be focused on and watching for as the point starts and progresses.
The server in doubles should serve from a wider position versus singles. Starting Position I prefer to see you stand a bit wider than midway between the center mark and the doubles line.
As soon as you serve, your responsibility would be to cover your share of the court and by starting here it should place you in position to do that with little recovery movement. Remember, it will always be safer to hit the ball back to where it originated from than change the direction of the ball. Therefore, the more you serve #StartingPosition wide the more you need to consider covering the wide angle return.

  SQL injection
Posted by: JUG - 12-21-2018, 11:15 AM - Forum: Off-topic Discussions - Replies (2)

Hi,

after searching online for DB class SQL injection, DB class seems like safe from SQL injection perspective. Have anybody more experiences about this?

BTW I also found [[[OLD EXPLOIT LINK HERE]]] I don't realy understand everything on this site but I posted anyway.

Jakob

Issue after upgrade from 4.3.25 to 4.3.26
Posted by: baljee - 12-21-2018, 08:32 AM - Forum: UserSpice 4.3 and Below - Replies (3)

Hi, i am running a dev server on Mamp and i updated the UserSpice core. I get this message:

( ! ) Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$dismissed in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/userspice/users/admin.php on line 708

What do i need to do to fix this? I can comment the line out but that doesn't seem appropriate.

  Cannot login to bug report
Posted by: JUG - 12-18-2018, 11:23 AM - Forum: Off-topic Discussions - Replies (1)

Hi,

I believe that for bug reporting is the same username and password as for forum, but I cannot get to the bug report section. Maybe there is a problem with username shorter that 4 letters since bug report register form does not let me create new account with my username (JUG).

Regards, Jakob

  authentication to access API
Posted by: ivinsons - 12-16-2018, 09:51 PM - Forum: UserSpice 4.4 - Replies (3)

Hello people!
I am an enthusiast of the Userspice but I confess that I participate little in the forum!

But I have a challenge of doing an authentication to access API functions, via REST or any other way.

What is the best practice to do this?
Do you have an example?

Thank you guys!

  Page keeps Reloading
Posted by: KyleJ1445566 - 12-14-2018, 04:57 PM - Forum: UserSpice 4.3 and Below - Replies (4)

Hey,

I have created a new dropdown menu and when I click on a link within the dropdown and once I am on that page and click to navigate some where else on the website, then the page that I was on just reloads.

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

  Database connection unsuccessful
Posted by: patrickinmotion - 12-13-2018, 10:43 PM - Forum: UserSpice 4.3 and Below - Replies (5)

1) On initial setup page everything else is green, except Display Errors: OFF.

How do I turn this on?

2) When I click on "Test Settings" after putting all my database info in, it comes back saying
Database connection unsuccessful! Please try again. I created a blank database on AWS RDS and I have connected successfully to the database using Mysql Workbench.

THanks

New User Where to find stable download
Posted by: patrickinmotion - 12-13-2018, 01:26 PM - Forum: New to UserSpice? - Replies (1)

Hi!
I'm new to userspice, and was wondering where to find a stable version 4. I see version 2 and 3 download, but only see a beta of version 4 and patches of version 4. My question is what do I download to get started.

Thanks,

  Conditional colour for notifications
Posted by: Moomintroll - 12-13-2018, 10:42 AM - Forum: UserSpice 4.3 and Below - Replies (2)

Hi,
I'm just reviewing a site that I sent live last week, and I wondered if there was a tweak that could be made to the Notifications code that would keep the bubble grey if the count was 0, but turn it to a different colour if the count was >=1?
This is the line in includes/navigation.php (I think):

Code:
<li><a href="#" onclick="displayNotifications('new')" id="notificationsTrigger" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#notificationsModal"  ><i class="fa fa-fw fa-bell"></i> <span id="notifCount" class="badge" style="margin-top: -5px; background-color: #FF0004;"><?= (int)$notifications->getUnreadCount(); ?></span></a></li>
I added a background-color tag, but I'm not sure how to make it conditional and I'm not brave enough to do too much fiddling with a live site just yet...I'm afraid I'll break it!

  4.4 Beta
Posted by: ohiggins - 12-12-2018, 08:14 AM - Forum: UserSpice 4.4 - Replies (2)

Not sure if this is the place or discord, please tell me where to go but I thought i would try the 4.4 beta that mudmin had poseted in another thread a few hours back. All the install goes fine but when loggin in for admin or user i get...

Code:
If this continues to happen, please contact the administrator.

Any ideas? Have i missed something??? Only thing i did in the install was chmod init.php. The install is in a subfolder of my main site....
