Hi guys ... im tryin to install userspice for first time.
I have tryed at my arch box without success , then I tryed on a fresh centos vox and have not success either.
Im stucked at step2 with "Database connection unsuccessful! Please try again" message.

looking at error logs I noticed that init.php is not complete:
PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected end of file, expecting ')' in /var/www/html/UserSpice44/users/init.php on line 28.

Im using:
userspice version 4 and 44.
php 7.1.30 and mysql 8.

is there some way to overide this issue or install it manually ?

After the domain extension there is a / missing.
This is because it says the following in the _email_template_verify_new.php ?:

I have changed this and placed the copy of that file in usersc/includes/admin but it is not used (probably because its does not have a corresponding view from admin.php). So how can I get around this without altering the original file in users?



Also, would it be somehow possible to receive an e-mail (with their details) whenever someone registers?

I would like to create a more extensive registration form. One with a phone number, address, and some other things.

Is it possible to just add these to the _join.php or is altering that form too complicated?

I tried making a new form using the form builder, but that one doesnt seem to have the same security features as the registration form (mainly the e-mail verification).

I upgraded to version 4.4.11 from 4.409 and now I'm noticing that the browser gives the following message numerous times in the console on every page:
"This site uses a deprecated version of TLS that will be disabled in March 2020. Please upgrade to TLS 1.2 or 1.3."


My site is hosted at godaddy.com. I investigated the possible causes of this message and thought maybe it was my my hosting package. I ran godaddy's ssl certificate checker and it says the TLS versions available are TLSv1. So, I spent nearly an hour on the phone with godaddy support and they finally just said it was my code not the server and that the reference to TLSv1 on the cert checker covered all the 1.x versions. I suspect this is not correct.

Next, I ran phpinfo and it shows this:
"Registered Stream Socket Transports = tcp, udp, ssl, sslv3, tls, tlsv1.0, tlsv1.1, tlsv1.2".

Checking the page info through the browser after I've logged in says I'm only using (TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA, 256 bit keys, TLS 1.0).

At this point I'm at a loss as to what I need to do to figure out what the problem is. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm having difficulty with showing my company logo in a shared link (Whatsapp).
I have filled in the head_tag in usersc/includes and also put a link to my logo in there.
But when I share the link everything shows up but the logo. Any idea what is going wrong there?

I just re-installed us from scratch.
I wanted to start with the recaptcha part, after successful installation.
I changed my admin password.
That is all I did, so far.

When going to settings->general and look at the Invisible Recaptcha section, I am presented with two fields:
Invisible Recaptcha Public (Site) Key (with an yey icon to show the same), and
Invisible Recaptcha Private (Secret) Key...
When I hover over the eye icon on the Public Key, it shows my password.


Is this normal?

I will try and put the correct key and see if it changes, but I found it weird and I thought of notifying the forum about it.

After I updated both keys, taken from the admin section of /www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/site...

I got a message saying "ERROR for site owner: invalid site key"

I just update from 4.4.04 to 4.4.09 and then from 4.4.09 to 4.4.11 and now the navigation placeholders for labels don't get replaced. They show up with the inserted code like {{dashboard}}, {{users}}, etc. and look like that:



I did not make the adjustments to support the new template system as I customized the navigation, could it be because of that?

I stumbled upon a GitHub script (https://github.com/pavanred/Fantasy-cricket-league) while I was searching for Fantasy Cricket php script. There has been no updation since quite a long time now. The script is also incomplete. The index.php file on this project states that it was built with UserCake Version: 1.4 (http://usercake.com) Developed by: Adam Davis which brought me to userspice.com and eventually I came to this forum.

What I need to know is, if the project is owned by userspice and if there is a complete project available.

I just update from 4.4.01 to 4.4.09 and then from 4.4.09 to 4.4.11 and now none of my nav dropdowns function correctly.

My pages all use prep.php and footer.php as instructed in the stickied thread in this forum and all the correct libraries seem to be loaded so I'm at a loss for what else to try.
